Františkovy Lázně
This small, charming spa town was founded in 1793 on an old mineral spring site. Lunch included.
The centre of the town is a large promenade. Most of the typical spa architecture dates back to late 18th and the early 19th centuries – Classicist and Empire buildings. The spa town is famous mainly for rich sources of sulphur-ferric peat and mineral springs, used for the cure of heart and vascular diseases and gynaecological problems. A symbol of the spa is a statue of a child with a legendary power: a woman who touches the small František will have a baby within a year.
